Pharmacy website

Case Study - UI/UX Design - Website Landing Page

Project Overview

The goal of this UI/UX case study is to design a pharmacy website that enables users to register their pharmacy and take their business online. This will allow pharmacists to reach a wider audience and provide a convenient service to customers who prefer to order their medication online.

My Role

I was the only designer working on enhancing and building this website and its dashboard. Earlier they only had wireframes and user flows for some screens, later along with the project handler we came with more required user flows and navigations website and user dashboard.

Project Goal

Design a user-friendly and visually appealing web application that enables pharmacy owners to take their business online at zero registration fee. The web application should allow pharmacy owners to easily manage their inventory, track orders, and view their earning ratio based on sales and revenue.

Key Feature & Indicators

Idea

The inspiration for our pharmacy website came from a popular food delivery app that enables customers to order food from a variety of restaurants while also enjoying discounts and coupons. We saw an opportunity to provide similar services for the pharmaceutical industry by allowing small-scale pharmacies to take their business online and reach a wider network of customers. Our website provides a comparable user experience but with the added benefit of being tailored specifically to pharmaceuticals and medicines.

Analysis

The website design included the comprehensive and diverse functionality which had to be presented to users in a simple and clear way. I had to analyze and prioritize all the points, as there was a high risk of overloading the screen. By research and testing, the user scenarios were created to determine which information is essential and how much information should be shown to the user

User Interface Design

"As the pharmacy website is aimed at catering to a diverse group of users with varying levels of health literacy, the user interface needs to be intuitive and accessible on all devices. The website layout should prioritize readability and easy navigation, with a clean and simple design that is easy on the eyes. The use of high-quality visuals and images can help to enhance the overall user experience and help users to quickly find the information they need. The typography should be clear and easy to read, with a focus on san-serif fonts for maximum legibility. Color contrast should be used to highlight important information and calls-to-action, while also ensuring that the website is accessible to users with visual impairments.

Inventory upload

Inventory upload feature is designed to be highly user-friendly, offering  pharmacy owners three different options to upload their inventory into the website.
Firstly, users can add products directly from our database, making it quick and easy to
populate their inventory list.
Alternatively users can upload a data file in formats such as Excel or CSV, whose format can be downloaded directly from the upload feature for convenience.
Finally we understand that some users may find the inventory upload process challenging, so we offer the option to email the inventory file to our Capsule team who will upload it on their behalf. With these three options available, our inventory upload feature ensures that our clients can efficiently and effectively manage their pharmacy inventory.

Order Review

Cappsule dashboard feature is designed to provide our pharmacy clients with a comprehensive view of their billing and order management information, all on one screen.
This includes details such as attached prescriptions, employee information, and order status, making it easy to quickly and efficiently manage orders.
The dashboard also allows users to share this information with their delivery agents, ensuring smooth and timely deliveries
In addition, the dashboard provides users with the ability to accept, reject, or modify orders as needed
Owner can even add more prescriptions to an existing order if required
Cappsule dashboard feature is designed to provide our pharmacy clients with a comprehensive view of their billing and order management information, all on one screen.

Responsive design

A responsive website that works well on all devices is crucial for the success of a pharmacy website. It enables users to perform the same tasks from their mobile devices as they would be able to from their desktop computers, making the website more accessible and user-friendly. This makes it convenient for customers to place orders and manage their account information from their mobile devices, and for pharmacists to manage their business on the go.

Bottom Line

In summary, this UI/UX case study outlines the design process for a pharmacy website that allows pharmacists to register their business and take it online. The website should provide a simple and straightforward registration process for pharmacists, an easy-to-use dashboard for managing inventory and orders, and a user-friendly interface for customers to search for medication and place orders. The ultimate goal is to provide a convenient service to customers who prefer to order their medication online, while enabling pharmacists to reach a wider audience and manage their business more efficiently.
